Join a guided walk in the woods outside Linderöd and learn about wild plants that can be used as a food. Get to know a bounty of seasonal wild vegetables and flavor of local landscape.
We will walk and learn how to identify and use wild edible plants, their nutritional values, and history. We finish with a picnic – small snacks made from plants you will be getting to know.
The course is suitable for both beginners and people who have some knowledge about wild plants.
You will learn:
- How to identify a minimum of 10 wild edible plants
- Where to look for them (wild edible plants and their favourite environments)
- When you can find them (observing cycle of plant’s life and learning how to find wild edible plants all year around)
- Which parts of the plant can be used as a food and how to choose the tastiest,
- When it is the best time to harvest
- What are the benefits for health
- How to collect wild edible plants in sustainable way
- What safety rules must be followed when collecting wild plants
