Meadow Lab began in 2017 with Agata, forager and fermentation enthusiast, as a one-woman operation. For nine years she ran walks, lectures and workshops, building a community of people finding their way back to the living world.
In 2026 Meadow Lab grew. Stefania and Robbie joined, each bringing their own roots, their own ways of knowing. Like any healthy ecosystem, Meadow Lab got more interesting when it got more diverse.
Agata Bielska Born in Poland, rooted in Linderöd, Skåne. Visual artist, nature guide, forager, gardener, fermentation expert, seamstress – a maker in every sense of the word.
For Agata, creativity is the ground everything else grows from. She gets deeply, unapologetically nerdy about the things she loves, and her greatest satisfaction is making other people feel the same way.
She founded Meadow Lab on what she’s always had: a hands-on relationship with the living world, an eye for what’s worth noticing, and the conviction that knowledge is most alive when it’s made into something.
Stefania Santagati was born in Sicily, a land of passionate storytelling and harsh contradictions. Since she can remember, she’s been fascinated by both.
Her studies span across humanities, tech and science. During her 10 years in Denmark, her work centered around product development and service design.
Fundamentally a die-hard linguist, she thinks of everything as a system of signs with fluctuating, arbitrary meanings.
She brings to Meadow Lab a focus on strategic partnerships, operations and business development.
Robbie Smith comes from nature-rich Narrm/Melbourne in Australia. A curious facilitator, clear communicator and dedicated nature boy, he now makes home beside a wetlands area on the outskirts of Copenhagen. His background spans education, outdoor guiding, music and activism, and he weaves these experiences together to find unique entry-points to ideas around nature.
His mission at Meadow lab is simple, yet radical: to maintain and exude a child-like sense of wonder for the world. He believes that’s where the answers live – to questions we don’t yet know how to ask.
